My trip to Estonia started on 12.9.2017, exactly at 3 a.m., when I took Uber to othe airport, because I had no energy (after 1 hour of sleeping) to take tram and bus to get there. The night before, we went bouldering with Javi and Pep to Lokalblok on Arbesovo náměstí. It was for me first time, but I guess, that I did quiet well. J After that, Javi prepared “chilli sin carne”, which means basically chilli con carne, but just with soya meat, since he is vegetarian.
In the airport, I met Martina, who was another Czech participant for that training. The travel was super long, we needed to change the flight in Frankfurt and wait for 3 hours till we were in the airplane to Tallinn. First impression in Tallinn? Smells like the sea and is very quiet. We had 2 hours there so did just quick walk around and at 7 p.m. we took bus to Viljandi, where was already Maik and Elena waiting for us with cars. Maik seemed bit smaller than I expected, but well, pictures on facebook are not so relevant source of checking how people look like.
First night, we were not all together, but anyway, we played some “ice brakers” games and wrote first impression of us on the back of the people on white papers. The next day had pretty the same program.
Next day, we were doing different kind of workshops and games on the topic “non-violent education”. The whole program of activities was very very well prepared. Our trainers Marco and Lorenzo were professionals, I really love Lorenzo as a person, I had him as a leader of the reflection group, which we always had in the evening from 6p.m. to 6,30 p.m.
During the program, we had one free afternoon in Viljandi (after the lecture on non-violent action in Tallinn, where few students did campaign against suicides), which I spent most of the time alone, because I was very sad because of Jose. He did not talk to me whole day. In the evening, I spent most of the time with Ema doing plans for that night with Spyros and Alex. I am happy, that nothing happened eventually.
Next night, me and Emma were doing karate, and I realised, how important it is, to be flexible. And also, that I really want to do handstand and all these small things, that are achievable. I am very happy, that I met Emma, because she is really like me. Same attitude to life same desires, same “sense of purpose”… I really love her.
Last night, we danced, I drank white wine and got quiet drunk, was talking to Maik and trying to ignore Jose which was impossible when he came to me and started to talk. Jose was the most mysterious person that I knew. After later talk with Lorenzo, I realised even more about him. He was 10 years in army, champion of Tai-chi, had a girlfriend 2 years ago( but was a bit confused, since he told me that he is “sexual animal” :D, so he did not like to be in a relationship) and now, he spends a lot of time with his nephews.
Next day in the morning, me, Jose and Marina went to Tallinn (first with car of Elena, than with bus) and Jose asked me to sit next to him. It was beautiful, short and for me very strange experience. I would never say, that he would be like that. When he needed to go out from the bus, he kissed me on the cheek and went out. And that’s it.
The day in Tallinn was cool, with Martina, we joined “free walking tour” which was led by some guy who studied history, so he did pretty well. Some random facts that I remember: In Tallinn, there used to be the museum of atheism in a church, people watched publicly some porno movie, the city has 400000 inhabitants, the skype was invented in Estonia. Later, we met Lorenzo and went to the seaside, which was actually just an industrial area, Martina did not like, it, but I really did not care.
The travel back was long, but we manage to have those seats in Frankfurt, where you can put your legs up, so it was quite cool. The last flight, I thought that I will die. We lended in Prague at 23:45, took (with my mum’s car) Martina to her dormitory and arrived at home one hour later. Next day, I had driving lesson, which I could not pay attention at all.
