After being two years ago in Monte Negro and Croatia in summer, I thought, that I will never be able to go to th Balcan again during summer, since it was TERRIBLY hot. However, when Javi told me (NOT OBVIOUSLY), that he would like to go with Jesus (his super cool, nice, guy to deep talk-friend) to Belgrade, I felt somehow need to go to Balcan again. And now I definitelly DO NOT regret.
As i have already mentioned, Jesus picked us up at 6 a.m. at Javi´s place and our journey could start. First 2 hours, I was sitting on the back seats but for next more than 10 hours, it changed and my never-ending conversation with Jesus began. We talked about life, sport, philosophy, politics, sex, relationships..everything <3 Love this guy. We planned to be there at 2 p.m., but plans changed and we arrived after 6 p.m. Actually, I did not care, we went for a walk, had dinner (me just omelette, but true, I am happy when I have eggs and veggies) and went sleep.
Next day, with much better mood, we woke up, had AMAZING (and not expensive!!) breakfast on the Republic square and went for free tour. The tour made quite a lot of people, but that guide had enough RAKIJA for everyone. Javi was apparently very happy with that, I rather stayed without it, cause I did not want to get rid of the pleasure from that amazing breakfast.
After the tour, we wanted to visit bank, where they were supposed to print money with our faces, but it was just some trap, buut at least, it forced us to go back to our apartman, to change our clothes to more conservative ones and have nice refreshing break. Later, we visited Tesla museum, which was nothing special, but full of nice experiments. Evening was spent with Jesus and his friend Sonja, who he visited there actually. She had truly basketball legs. We got drunk, made very bad polaroid pictures and went sleeping.
Next day in Belgrade was again very cool, we did 20th century tour, had pistachio ice cream, I lost sunglasses, bought new one and went to Zemun for romantic dinner on the hill. The way back to the apartman was not that enjoyable since I thought I will fall asleep during walking there.
DAY 4-SARAJEVO
Eventhough Javi didn´t seem like happy to hear that I want to leave Belgrade alread at 6 a.m., finally it showed up as a good idea, since the bus didn´t go for 3 hours (as Javi tried to convince me to go at eight beause it was definitelly not necessary to wake up that early.hahaha), but for more than 7 hours and we were in Sarajevo (more exactly in the middle of nowhere- somewhere on the hill) at 13:30. At 4.30, we went to the free tour, which was led by very awkward guy, so we decided to buy melone, sit in the coffee and stay there for few hours till night (actually). We talked about houses, children, cities, towns, philosophy, religion, god…After that, I bought shoes which I decided to give back next day and change for another one, because I did not like them. In the evening, we went for nice dinner and for sisha and fell asleep totally exhausted.
Next day, we woke up at 8, but somehow did not manage to have breakfast earlier than at 12 a.m. (LOVE IS IN THE AIR) After breakfast, we visited Srebrenica museum, Mosque (just museum, not the big mosque, because instead of that we were drinking one espresso after other..but also nice).
MOSTAR
We took the train at 6 a.m. and were in mostar after 9. At 10 A.m., we did the free walking tour, with just 3 more people, which was really cool. After that, bathing under the bridge, watching people jumping from the bridge and earning with that money, visiting BANK house, squat full of graffiti and amazing view and smoking shisha for free which should have been paid. We were back to the Sarajevo around 10 p.m., went for a dinner and went sleep. Next day we didn´t catch our bus to Tuzla, but fortunately, there was some guy from Holand (who was actually Bosnian), who told us, that we can go with his bus, just 30 minutes later. i had with him very nice talk (while Javi was OF COURSE sleeping) about travel, people.. 🙂
In Tuzla, we realised, that we did not book any apartment, but luckily, on our way to city center, we met some nie ppl who spoke german and arranged for us not just apartment, but also taxi to airport and to the apartment. In the afternoon, we went bathing to PANONSKA JEZERA, where was salty water, chilled, had coffee and in the evening dinner with life musik. back to the apartment took us taxi, because Javi did not feel well.
Next day, waking up at 4 a.m., realised that there was nobody waiting for us to take us to the airport so we needed to wake up the owner of that apartment to take us to othe airport. On the airport, I met Wagner, guy from gymnazium Opatov, who was there with some guys from his university. We needed to pay extra 40E for our backpacks, because they were too big. In Bratislava, we were in 40 minutes so we catched the train at 8 a.m. had nice breakfast there and were in Prague at 12.
and thats it!
